After struggling to get hitters out in the bullpen, Scottsdale Scorpions manager Russ Morman gave San Francisco Giants prospect Adalberto Mejia a shot as the starting pitcher — where the left-hander excelled in the 2013 regular season with Class A San Jose.

Things remained the same, and for now, at least, they may have gotten worse.

Q&A with Giants outfielder Roger Kieschnick

I caught up with the newest member of the San Francisco Giants, outfielder Roger Keischnick, less than 24 hours after the Texas native made his AT&T Park debut, where he recorded two hits in the process. The 26-year old has been platooning in left field, in the starting lineup against righties with Jeff Francoeur on Bochy’s lineup card against righties. Bochy told the media on Tuesday that he’s liked Kieschnick’s at-bats off left-handers. Needless to say, Kieschnick’s six hits and three RBIs in five games since joining the defending world champions has impressed his manager. I sat down with him before Tuesday’s game to discuss his major league debut and his AT&T Park debut, among other things.
