RHP // What Kyle Crick is to power, Clayton Blackburn is to finesse. The Oklahoma high-school product has displayed a balanced approach of, at times, five different pitches to force ground balls, as well as strikeouts, in his four minor league seasons. Blackburn throws predominantly a two-seam fastball / curveball / changeup combination, with the two-seam and changeup both having good downward, sinking action. He can manipulate the curveball to become a slider while typically throwing a more straight-down, 12-6 curve. As of 2013, Blackburn was working on a cutter, as well.
