RHP // Hunter Strickland burst onto the scene in 2013 when the Giants claimed him off waivers from the Pirates. Though sidelined by Tommy John surgery just two months into his San Jose Giants stint, Strickland has returned at top form, throwing in his first game since the procedure on May 20 and promoting to Double-A a week later. Since then, the hard-throwing righty has powered his way through minor league hitting, striking out an average of 12 per nine innings while maintaining a WHIP below one. Strickland features a mid-to-high-90s fastball and a devastating slider.
